It’s so hard to stay at home in the summer so naturally when my friend called me on Thursday evening and said, “Let’s do something.” , I said “Sure why not ” and we both agreed we wanted to do the following:
- local
- low key
- outside
It’s funny because most of the time I like to plan for things and yet I always find myself flying out the door last minute. Right before I got the call I was ready to call it a day…I was in a funky mood, hair was all a mess because it’s been sooooo humid in NYC, so I had to think of something to wear QUICK!
I wanted to dress summery and cute, but putting something together hasn’t been easy because I haven’t done any shopping this summer AT ALL. HONESTLY. I’m going through a recycling clothes phase and a save money phase too. I guess that’s a good thing now that I write it. I’ve purchased a few things here in there, but definitely not a wardrobe.
I decided to pull out my retro inspired floral romper purchased I don’t know when. I want to say 2009-10 at 5-7-9…yeah lol. I don’t even know if that store is still around. I’ve worn this about 3 times, but nonetheless when I shop I try to buy pieces that will never go out of style and a floral romper is one of them.
We’ve arrived. This is the best thing that could’ve happened to Harlem residents. It’s such a chill place and they have a great selection of beers on tap.

Remember I said I usually find myself flying out of the house last minute and my hair was a mess because it’s been so humid ? This was brush my hair quick and put it in a neat knot bun.

Just thought the patio umbrellas looked good from this angle.
Also wearing my favorite Karla Deras Roman Luxe Triangle Drop earrings and my super power Wonder Woman cuff bracelet from H&M.
