As a Latina, I’m around women who love every inch of their curves and want more. But as a Latina growing up in a predominantly white neighborhood and having a single mom who worked most of the time, I didn’t have anything that taught me curvy was ok and I spent most of my life trying to be super skinny.
My younger sister who has curves for days always use to tell me how much she loved her body and that one day I’d regret not doing the same. That always stuck with me.
Jennifer Lopez was a role model for me and I did like Beyonce, but a very small part of it had to do with the fact that they’re curvaceous babes. Then came the phenomenon of Kim Kardashian, I started looking at curves in a whole new way..the same way my Hispanic friends and family always have. I started thinking how beautiful it was, and let me just say if you ever need a crash course in loving the skin you’re in, go to a spanish club and you’ll see women who make it a point to accentuate what God has given them…..
….and just like that my sister was right, I embraced my figure and I love curves, especially mine!

So I was more than excited to see this display at Times Square Forever 21. Finally, women over a size 6 have options!
Trendy! Not frumpy, not ugly, & NOT BLACK

The perfect outfit to have a cocktail in at a club, a rooftop, or heck even a backyard party.
There’s a great selection of styles.
This display was my favorite. I love the fringes hanging from the side of these short shorts!
Nice..leopard spandex pants and I loved that they paired it with some colbalt options.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend ladies! It’s beautiful out..well in New York City at least
