If you haven’t experienced Santacon then you haven’t experienced the Christmas spirit..in New York City that is! Thousands and thousands of Santas come out for a day dressing up in Christmas themes, drinking, and lots of donating to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation and City Harvest.
FYI, you’re never too old for Santacon. I saw plenty of people waaay past their 30s enjoying this yuletide event! If crowds and bar crawls aren’t your thing trust me, it’s worth talking a short walk or look out your window to see elf sightings and droves of santas covering the pavement. The energy is exciting!
It’s also fun to see all the fashion interpretations of good ol’ Saint Nick and his friends.
Headed to the starting point at Hudson Pier 48, this guy gave me beads on the way…off to a good start already!

I loved this couple’s dark yet whimsical spin on Christmas.

The scene entering Hudson Pier 48, you could feel the Santa spirit in the air..it was so exciting!

The day couldn’t have been any prettier. The sky was clear, the air was crisp, and it wasn’t that cold for the 15th of December. Here’s Kristy, she got a lot of camera attention in her elf outfit as she jingled her way through the day… literally!

Group shot before the official festivities. Yep, that’s Jude Law & Lucy Hale standing between Kristy & me…jk, but they sure do look like them don’t they!

Dancing and performing hula hoop tricks..this was one of the many things Santa’s helpers were doing to celebrate.
Viking Santa! I love the bearded braid and the peek-a-boo flannel cuffs.

First stop, Bowlmor Lanes in Times Sq for some bowling! My bow got so many compliments all day!
I really liked this place. The lanes are in different areas of the venue. Very cool and quaint.

One of the many stops throughout the day, 230 5th Ave Rooftop. I love that girls are totally embracing the androgyny trend and owning their moustaches! Not to mention these girls put the D.I.Y. into their nutcracker outfits. They used piping to create the brocade designs, added tassles to the straps of their bustier and tanks, paired it with a fashionable gold belt, toy guns, and tutus! Tada!

Loved her 80′s inspired yet modern way of looking like a trendy elf. Good luck with your acting career!
Is this a great shot or what! The view of the skyline was absolutely breathtaking!
This pretty much sets the scene of the whole day everywhere you went….tons and tons of red santa outfits. It put a big smile on my face!

If you missed the fun check out the images on Google and be sure to go next year!
